The OICB U18s made their debut in the Heads of Society Cup, hosting strong opposition from Westminster. With a quarter‑final place on the line, the team approached the match with confidence after a productive week of training.
Led by Dean, the team showed great organisation and spirit, with goalkeeper Andrey commanding the defence and making several key stops. Despite OICB creating some good attacking moments and showing continued hard work and resilience, Westminster took a 2–0 lead into half-time and added more goals in the second half.
After Andrey had to leave early for Youth Council commitments, a non‑specialist stepped into goal, making the challenge even tougher. The 6–0 scoreline did not reflect the team’s determination, teamwork or progress.
The players and coaching staff should be extremely proud, and the experience provides a strong platform for future competitions.
