OUR GCSE CURRICULUM
Studying here, you’ll follow a tailored programme based around your strengths and interests, as well as your aspirations for the future. Combining the highest teaching standards with one-to-one mentoring and regular progress testing, our GCSE courses are engaging, challenging, and designed to help you achieve fantastic results.

ONE-YEAR GCSE PROGRAMME
Our intensive one-year GCSE programme is designed to provide focused academic support and a strong foundation for progression to A Levels.
Students study five core subjects - Maths, English as a Second Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology - allowing for greater depth of learning, personalised support, and faster academic progress in a short timeframe.
Alongside this, students benefit from additional English support, designed to strengthen language skills, boost confidence, and ensure they are fully prepared for the academic demands of A Levels.
Key features of Programme
- Focused curriculum: Five core GCSE subjects for depth and mastery
- Small classes: Personalised teaching and close academic support
- Enhanced English provision: Additional language development built into the timetable
- Clear progression: Designed specifically to prepare students for A Level success
This streamlined approach ensures students build strong subject knowledge while developing the academic English skills essential for their next stage of study.

TWO-YEAR GCSE PROGRAMME
Students following our traditional two-year programme typically study 10 GCSE subjects. These include Maths (with or without additional Maths), English (both language and literature, or second language), Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You’ll also pick four options based on your interests, A-level plans, and university ambitions. These options are:
- First or Second Mandarin.
- First or Second Russian.
- Additional Mathematics*.
- History.
- Geography.
- Computer Science.
- Art.
- Business.
- Psychology.
- Drama.
Our Year 10 students sit SCITS every month, while weekly testing takes place in Year 11. This process identifies areas for development and helps us to track your progress. It’s also fantastic preparation for your final exams. Our Year 11 students take mid- and end-of-term assessments, too.
