Tess St Clair-Ford
Principal

Tess brings a wealth of leadership experience to the college, having spent more than a decade in senior roles at prestigious UK and international schools. A passionate believer in the transformative impact of positive wellbeing on academic outcomes, Tess ensures we provide the holistic care and support our students need to fulfil their unique potential.

Dr Gemma Hannan
Deputy Principal (Academic)

Gemma’s career spans more than a decade, including teaching, Director of Sixth Form, and Associate Deputy Head roles in prestigious independent schools. In her role as Deputy Principal (Academic), Gemma ensures the highest teaching and learning standards across the curriculum. Gemma has a Master’s in Teaching and a Doctorate in Education, both from University College London.

Jonno Melia
Deputy Principal (Pastoral and Wellbeing)

Previously Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Designated Safeguarding Lead at a leading UK preparatory school, Jonno is committed to developing innovative approaches that enhance student wellbeing. In previous roles, he has successfully implemented a variety of pioneering projects, from creating a school-wide ‘culture of kindness’ to a ‘caught being kind’ initiative. Jonno’s dedication to welfare, safeguarding, and pastoral care ensures our students thrive.

Thomas Galvin
Supercurriular Manager

Formerly the Head of Geography and Housemaster at a leading independent school, Thomas’ pre-teaching career includes a successful stint as an investment banker. Thomas is passionate about offering the highest quality Super curricular opportunities, which align with our students’ aims and ambitions. Thomas is a qualified tennis, rugby, and hockey coach, as well as being a Taekwondo instructor. He’s also an officer in the Combined Cadet Force.

Andrew Gillespie
Executive Principal

Andrew brings more than 30 years’ experience to the Executive Principal role. As well as being Chair of Examiners for Oxford AQA, he is a Reporting Inspector and the author of several GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate textbooks. Andrew is also Vice Principal and Academic Director of d'Overbroeck's Oxford.

Yasmin Sarwar
Chief Education Officer

Yasmin has been Chief Education Officer at Oxford International College (OIC) since 2017. Under her academic leadership, OIC has topped results league tables, becoming one of the top five A-level colleges in the UK. Committed to helping our students realise their university ambitions, Yasmin works closely with higher education providers worldwide, including Oxford and Cambridge.
