Supporting the Brighton Marathon Weekend

OIC Brighton students and staff were proud to support one of the city’s most vibrant events at this year’s Brighton Marathon Weekend. Volunteering across the iconic seaside route, our community played an active role in welcoming thousands of runners as they took on the challenge, from first-time participants to experienced marathon runners.

It was an inspiring day filled with energy, determination and teamwork. Our students embraced the opportunity to contribute to a major local event, offering encouragement to runners and helping to create a positive atmosphere throughout the course. The experience provided a powerful reminder of the impact that collective support and community spirit can have.

Opportunities like this are an important part of life at OIC Brighton. By getting involved in local events, students develop a stronger sense of belonging, build confidence and form meaningful connections with the city while living and studying away from home. These experiences help them feel more embedded in the Brighton community and encourage personal growth beyond the classroom.
