We are thrilled to announce that Anderson House has won the 2026 House Debate Competition, delivering a masterclass in argumentation to defeat Cori House in the Grand Final.
The Motion: “This House Believes Social Media Should Be Banned for Under-16s.”
The timing could not have been more perfect. As our students were passionately debating the motion, the real world was catching up! Just recently (Wednesday, Jan 21), the House of Lords voted decisively to back a ban on social media for under-16s, amending the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill in a historic vote. It seems Westminster may have been channelling the persuasive arguments from Anderson House!
