On Wednesday, our college community came together for Student Hustings Day, an important event where students exercised their right to vote and elect our new Head Students for 2026.

Democracy is a fundamental right, and empowering young people to vote demonstrates the incredible impact they can have when united. This process gives students a voice in shaping the future of our college and ensures that leadership reflects the values and priorities of the student body.
Our Principal, Tess St Clair-Ford, shared her thoughts on what makes a successful Head Student:
"The best candidates are articulate, passionate, and genuinely care about student life. These qualities help ensure every voice is heard and that our college continues to thrive."
We also want to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing Head Students, Marie & Aaliyah, for their outstanding contributions. They have been fantastic ambassadors for the college, working tirelessly behind the scenes to organise Student Council events and champion student voice. Reflecting on their time in office, they said they enjoyed the teamwork and are excited to see a more compact council in the future, one that can improve efficiency and make decisions faster.
Thank you, Marie and Aaliyah, for your dedication and leadership. We look forward to welcoming our new Head Students and continuing to strengthen student representation across the college.
