Celebrating Academic Excellence

This year’s competition saw nearly 70,000 essays submitted, making it one of the most competitive editions yet. Only the top 18% of entries were shortlisted, representing an extraordinary academic achievement and a testament to our students’ intellectual curiosity and dedication.

“I was incredibly honoured to have been invited to attend the 2025 John Locke Institute Global Essay Competition awards dinner in London this year. Through this dinner, I had the opportunity to meet peers from all around the world. At my table alone, there were individuals from South Korea, Dubai, Taiwan, Italy, the United States, and other countries. What amazed me the most was that most of them had specially flown to London from their home countries just to attend this event. During our conversations, we became good friends, and I learned about each of their unique experiences and aspirations. Being able to connect with like-minded students from such diverse backgrounds left me deeply moved and truly grateful.” Jason, Year 13.
