Members of the community prepared traditional Moon Cakes in honour of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Students and staff from a variety of countries joined in, sharing not only delicious food but also stories, customs, and the warmth of their heritage. The occasion was marked by a wonderful spirit of togetherness and cultural appreciation.
In addition, the community celebrated Nigeria’s Independence Day. Students prepared a special meal for the whole school, offering everyone the chance to experience Nigerian cuisine and culture. This event provided another meaningful opportunity for the community to connect, learn, and enjoy the diversity that makes Ovingdean so special.
Through celebrations like these, our students gain more than just a taste of international traditions — they build friendships, deepen understanding, and strengthen the inclusive spirit of our community.
