There was no shortage of energy, rivalry and community spirit last week as OIC Brighton hosted its much-anticipated Staff vs Student Football Match — and it did not disappoint!
The match brought together students and teachers in a spirited display of teamwork, sportsmanship and good-humoured competition. From powerful tackles to unexpected goals, the game had it all — and the crowd certainly made their voices heard.
While both teams brought their A-game, it was about much more than the final score. Events like this are a cornerstone of our whole-school wellbeing ethos, fostering a sense of connection, camaraderie and mutual respect between staff and students. It's also a brilliant reminder that learning and growth happen everywhere — not just in the classroom.
Whether it was staff defending their goal with surprising agility or students showcasing serious skill on the ball, the match had everyone laughing, cheering and bonding in the best possible way.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, refereed, supported, or simply came along to watch. We’re already looking forward to the rematch!
