Last weekend, our Year 9 students embarked on an exciting trip to Bath and Bristol — regions rich in both physical geography and cultural heritage.
The itinerary began with a visit to the renowned Wookey Hole Caves, where students explored the atmospheric ‘Witch of Wookey’ show caves, enjoyed a round of adventure golf and stepped back in time at the Victorian penny arcade.

The group then headed to the historic city of Bath to visit the world-famous Roman Baths, gaining insight into ancient engineering and society. Rounding off the trip were guided tours of the University of Bath and the University of Bristol, offering students an early glimpse into life at two leading UK universities. While in Bristol, students also enjoyed some shopping and cultural exploration, with a few eagle-eyed students spotting original street art by the city’s most famous resident, Banksy.
On Monday, our Year 10 students departed for Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The journey included a stop at Bicester Village, before they headed to the Go Ape high ropes course — a chance to bond and blow off some steam.
In Stratford, students took part in a Shakespeare workshop and explored the town’s historical landmarks. The trip concluded with a visit to nearby Warwick, where students toured both Warwick Castle and the University of Warwick — a prestigious, top 10 UK institution known for its strengths in Economics, Finance, History and Mathematics.
These enriching trips provided our students with a unique blend of history, culture, adventure and academic inspiration — reinforcing our commitment to holistic learning beyond the classroom.
