We’re proud to share a fantastic example of student initiative and community spirit from Ovingdean House.
Over the past few weeks, our students have come together to support a charitable cause close to their hearts—raising both funds and awareness entirely off their own initiative.
Preme, our OICB Charity Representative, has independently raised over £80 through her own efforts and platforms. The rest of the house has joined her in support, with Ovingdean House collectively raising more than £200 so far.
In addition to the fundraising, students have logged over 100 miles through weekly runs, demonstrating their commitment not only to the cause but to their own wellbeing.
To build a sense of unity and identity around their effort, the students have even designed and ordered team shirts. Their drive and consistency—organised through their own social media channels—are a testament to the leadership and collaboration that thrive in our boarding community.
This initiative is entirely student-driven and reflects the values we encourage at OIC Brighton: empathy, initiative and resilience. We look forward to supporting their efforts further as they continue to make a meaningful difference—one mile at a time.
