Rob is a creative, passionate English teacher with a wealth of international experience, having taught in a range of roles in Ecuador, Argentina, Vietnam, China and the UK.
Rob’s love for literature began in childhood and continues to the present day. He is a firm believer in the power of the written word to transform our understanding of the world, and he strives to communicate this message in his lessons.
Given his passion for reading and desire to learn more about the world, it was natural for him to study Literature & History at degree level. He graduated with dual honours from the University of East Anglia, taking extra modules in Creative Writing and Politics.
After a period working as a sportswriter, which took him to South America, Rob shifted into international education in 2015, energised by the dynamic, multicultural aspect of working with students from all over the world.
As well as his BA degree, Rob holds a PGCE DL, CELTA, IB certification and various diplomas related to international education and multicultural learning.
In the classroom, Rob’s principal aim is to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, thinking critically and speaking freely. He is a firm believer that empowering students is the best way to support them in meeting their personal academic goals and developing their passion for lifelong learning.
