Dr Dely Alonso is an international education leader with two decades of experience across schools, pathway colleges and universities in the UK, USA and Mexico. She has held academic leadership roles in UK pathway education and has taught and consulted internationally, including work with the University of Brighton, the University of Warwick, the University of Sussex, the British Council, International House and Universidad Iberoamericana. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping students develop the academic, personal and transferable skills needed to thrive in further and higher education and beyond.
Her work has focused on supporting student progression and educational transitions, helping learners navigate each stage of their academic journey with confidence. Through curriculum development, student experience, student wellbeing and personalised guidance, she has supported students in preparing for university, achieving their ambitions and thriving in internationally minded learning environments. She is also the author of language-learning textbooks and educational resources used internationally.
Dely believes that outstanding university guidance begins with understanding each student as an individual. She is passionate about helping young people recognise their strengths, build confidence and make ambitious, well-informed choices, preparing them not only to secure places at leading universities but to thrive throughout their education and future careers.
